Hotel Senaria - Wonderful accommodation on Capri

Small, but appealing hotel at tranquil Anacapri

Appealing, family-run Hotel Senaria is found in the immediate vicinity of Piazza Caprile at Anacapri. The whitewashed hotel is typical Caprese style with arcades facing the sea.

An entrance area with nicely patterned floor and bright, appealing furnishing welcomes you into the hotel. The modern seating set with wicker chairs invites you to settle down and linger for a while. 

Each of the well-tended double rooms includes mini bar, SAT-TV, air conditioning and a bathroom with shower/bidet/WC/hair dryer. The terrace door opens onto a small, private outdoor area with a table and chairs and a cozy atmosphere.

On the adjoining communal terrace you can relax on sun beds and forget about the strain of everyday life. Enjoy the view onto the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Naples and the wooded slopes of Monte Solaro.

You not only want to look up at, but also go up Monte Solaro? A leisurely trail runs up to fascinating vista point "Belvedere di Migliaria". To get to the top at 600 m without effort and enjoy the panorama, take the chair lift (Seggiovia) from Piazza Vittoria.

Culinary delights

Start into your day with breakfast either outside, weather permitting, under a natural pergola with sea view or in the dining room, where large windows make for an airy atmosphere.

For dinner we recommend restaurant La Rondinella ca. 300 m from the hotel and run by the same family. The chef de cuisine spoils your taste buds with home-made Caprese specialties. Antipasti, seafood dishes and, of course, the "dolci" live up to the good reputation of Italian cuisine.

Explore and discover the surroundings

The small comune of Anacapri lies above the main town of Capri, off the bustling day tripper routes. A stroll through Anacapri's lovely, small alleys is sure to be on your schedule more than once.

Our tip: About 5 min. from Piazza Vittoria, the center of Anacapri, lies Villa San Michele. At the end of the 19^th century, Swedish physician and author Axel Munthe had it built high up on and close to the steep coast and with a fantastic view on the basis of "as much air and sun as possible". Admire the impressively laid-out terraced gardens and the large number of antiques Munthe collected over the course of his lifetime.

Bus connections on Capri are good. At the bus stop ca. 30 m from the hotel, you can catch a ride to the nearest bathing spot and south-westernmost tip of the island, Punta Carena (ca. 4 km). Don't miss out on a sunset there, it's marvelous with the lighthouse and the island of Ischia in the background! The famous "Blue Grotto" is just about as far off and never fails to enchant visitors.
