"I could dwell on many other things concerning Ravello, especially the old cathedral built by Niccolo Ruffuli in the eleventh century; enough, though, because you needn’t see too much nor recount too much." - words written by Ferdinand Gregorovius, who traveled the Amalfi Coast as early as 1853, in his book "Years of Travel in Italy".

His statement that you needn’t recount too much, we agree with – you must have seen the Amalfi Coast in all its beauty and splendor by yourself. We by no means agree with his statement that you needn’t see too much!

Just take Ravello, for example, with its abundance of historic buildings, remarkable monuments and noble villas with gorgeous gardens! Then there are other towns, some well-known, some not so well-known, such as Amalfi, Minori or Positano, with fascinating historic centers, winding alleys and breathtaking vistas…

The Amalfi Coast is always worth a journey, there is always something to see and to discover. Holiday apartment Marina Blu is an ideal starting point to do just that!

Lovely Marina Blu is is located in the peaceful district of Castiglione di Ravello, on the ground floor of a multifamily residence with 4 apartments, one of which is the owners' apartment, one holiday apartment La Panoramica. Each apartment has a separate entrance and private outdoor area.

The spacious living-dining room is furnished with a sofa (sleeping facility for a 3rd person), TV, dining furniture and a kitchen unit with 4-burner gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer and toaster. This room as well as the bedroom open onto the terrace with sea view.

The bedroom is furnished with double bed, chest of drawers and chair, each of the two bathrooms with shower cabin/WC/bidet.  

On the terrace, which is partly shaded by a small limonaia (lemon grove), you can relax on two sun loungers, simply enjoy the view of the azure colored sea, in the evening let the day fade away with a glass of red wine in hand.

Furnishing of the apartment also includes washing machine, fan and free Wi-Fi. You can park your car in a private parking space along the road above the house.

The famous center of Ravello about 3 km off can be reached on foot along the stepped path which runs past the apartment. The sandy beach of Marina di Castiglione ca. 1 km off can also be reached on foot by following the stepped path downhill. The nearest shopping facility and the center of Atrani are also 1 km off.

For your holidays on the Amalfi Coast take along your hiking boots! The varied coastal and mountain landscape is best discovered on foot. One of the most beautiful high-level hiking trails is "Sentiero degli Dei" (Path of Gods). And it really lives up to its name. Even Zeus is said to have wandered there. Hardly a surprise! The narrow 'up-and-down' trail is simply breathtaking.

Every turn discloses a new spectacle: Sea and sky compete for the most beautiful and vivid shades of blue, an old Saracen tower, once built to fend of pirates, sits enthroned on a ledge at the coastal stretch and in the distance you spot the famous Mediterranean Isle of Capri. The air is pervaded by the pleasant fragrance of wild thyme; you hear the inspired singing of the cicadas in the sun. It seems just like a piece of heaven.
