Not only today, but already in the ancient times people were drawn to the foot of Mount Vesuvius. “Campania felix”, English: “lucky country”, the area was called by the Romans because of its mild climate and fertile soil.
Numerous settlements as well as mundane bathing and residential towns arose. In August of the year 79 AD, disaster struck the inhabitants of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabiae when Vesuvius erupted.
A catastrophe, which is described by Goethe in his masterpiece “Italian Journey” as follows: “Many disasters have befallen the world, but few have brought posterity so much joy.”

Near these world-famous excavations of Pompeii, the B&B Villa Julia is situated in a rural setting. You reach the “scavi” within less than 2 km. Villa Julia is located on a 13,000 sqm property with a large garden and view upon the majestic Vesuvius.
The house, completed in 2007, is a well-tended, comfortable B&B managed by a family. The sympathetic owners will gladly give you recommendations or insiders’ tips for your stay in Pompeii.

The seven guest rooms of Villa Julia are located on the ground floor and the first floor and mostly have a balcony. They are tastefully furnished.
Standard accessories of the rooms include satellite television, air conditioning, mini bar and hair dryer. Each guest room has an en-suite bathroom with shower/bidet/WC.
The two guest rooms called Margherita and Sterlizia, which we have chosen for you, both have a private balcony with view to the garden and Mount Vesuvius.

The double bedroom Margherita is located on the ground floor.
The guest room Sterlizia is located on the first floor and offers an additional sleeping possibility for a possible third person.
Enjoy the generousness of the estate with the two beautiful terraces and the soothing green of the garden with its many fruit trees and seating possibilities.
Children can play on a little playground.
In the morning you invigorate yourself at the breakfast buffet. You may choose from sitting on one of the breakfast terraces or in the spacious lounge with bar, couch corner and satellite television.
