The family-led, elegant bed & breakfast at the Fjord of Furore, a bit off the coastal road, captivates through its unique location: Between steep rocks and cobalt-blue sea, the Locanda del Fiordo seems to float. The numerous terraces on the property offer you fantastic views upon the coast.
In the very well-tended garden with its splendour of Mediterranean plants, you relax beneath shading palm trees and enjoy the warming power of the sun on the large sun terrace directly above the sea. Cooling is provided by a dive into the refreshing water: the stairway of the property leads down to the private bathing bay. The nearest sandy beach is found within about 300 m only.
Stylish, comfortable and sophisticated appear the 10 double bedrooms, the 2 double bedrooms Superior and the 2 suites of the hotel. Beautifully tiled floors, tasteful furniture covers and the integration of the rocks into the architecture provide for a special atmosphere.

The standard equipment of the rooms includes air conditioning, hair dryer, telephone and satellite TV. The double bedrooms all offer a bathroom with shower, the bathrooms of the junior suites are equipped with bath tubs with hydro-massage.
A “surplus of privacy” is provided by the private terrace with sea view, which belongs to most of the rooms. Admiring the sunset on the Amalfi coast while having a glass of red wine – this is “dolce vita” on the highest level.
The wild-romantic Fjord of Furore between Positano and Amalfi is the only of its kind in the Mediterranean. During the heydays of the Italian Cinecittà, it used to be the scenery for famous motion pictures, such as Roberto Rossellini’s “Amore” with Anna Magnani. The leading actresses of these Italian masterpieces are unforgotten: they lent their names to the guest rooms.

Use the strategically convenient location of the Locanda del Fiordo in the heart of the Amalfi coast to discover this unique cultural landscape and its surroundings. The coastal towns of Amalfi and Ravello, the islands of Capri and Ischia, natural monuments like the Grotta dello Smeraldo and the Vesuvius, the pulsating city of Naples and the excavations of ancient Pompeii are only a few points of interest, which can easily be reached from Furore by public transportation (bus or ferry).

Hikers will be excited by the very well signposted trails. The Trail of the Gods, “Il Sentiero degli Dei” carries its name for a good reason: High above the sea, along the steep rocks and past ancient monasteries, you are led by the altitude trail and are shown, why the Costiera Amalfitana belongs to the most beautiful coastal stretches in the world.

Prices for the rooms are valid per person per night in a double room (DR), double room Superior (DR-Superior) or junior suite (J. suite) with bed & breakfast (B&B).
Extra charge for additional bed: 30 Euro per night in the periods from 01.01.-01.08.2010 and 01.09.-24.12.2010, 40 Euro per night in the periods from 01.08.-01.09.2010 and 24.12.2010-07.01.2011.
Double room as single room: 10 Euro discount per night on the regular double room price for two persons.
