Board your private „sailing boat“ and experience a journey into a seafaring past. Wherever you look, in every corner of Antonietta’s and Pasquale’s holiday apartment you discover lovingly placed evidence of the friendly owners’ grandfather’s time in the navy.
Be it a collage of sailor’s knots, fishing nets on the ceilings, antique furniture from Tunisia, handcrafted sailing boats decorating the walls or seafaring ornaments in the glass doors – give in to the fascination of Casa Barca a Vela and, while caressed by a soft ocean breeze, enjoy the fabulous view of the wide sea and the Cilento coast to the south from your terrace!
Your holiday apartment is located in the picturesque town of Raito and is reached via the piazza and by mounting a few steps. Strolling through the town and the small alleys, you experience local everyday life at close range. Here, guests will not encounter the great number of tourists you usually find at the world famous Amalfi coast – Raito has preserved its contemplative authenticity.
The sandy beach of Marina di Vietri is at a walking distance of 2 km via a stepped path, but you can also take the bus there.
The holiday apartment:
You enter your holiday apartment through a wrought-iron door which the talented owner has fitted with a handcrafted ship’s wheel.
The living room has a high cupola ceiling. It is furnished with a sofa bed, two chairs and a living room table as well as a dinette and a TV. There is a pull-out bed for a possible 4th guest.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a 4-burner gas stove, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a microwave and an additional small electric oven. You will find everything you need to prepare delicious Mediterranean dishes.
From the living room you enter the bedroom with its double bed, single bed and wardrobe.
The bathroom is accessed from a hallway. It is equipped with shower cabin, WC and bidet.
The terrace:
What is also special at Casa Barca a Vela is the terrace with its breathtaking view.
The terrace is screened from view. The owner, always full of ideas, had a mosaic made which depicts a view of the landscape. Hand painted tiles from the oldest tile factory at the neighboring town of Vietri sul Mare have been used for both the mosaic and the balustrade of the terrace.

Grocery stores and a bus stop are only 50 m from your holiday apartment.

Restaurants and bars are not far from your apartment either.
As the holiday apartment is located in the terraced alleys of Raito, you cannot bring up your car to the apartment. Parking can be found along the road around the historic centre.
Those who love hiking can start on tours into the mountains directly from the holiday apartment. From the mountain village of Albori about 1 km off, there are marvellous panorama trails along the Costiera Amalfitana.

Prices for this Raito holiday apartment:
Prices are valid per week and for the number of persons given in brackets including bed linen, towels and final cleaning. A deposit of 100 Euro is due upon arrival.
Possible costs for heating (electric heaters) are charged on the spot according to use.
The surcharge for a possible 3rd and 4th person is valid per person and week.
